Olive Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Olive, a support platform designed to help people preserve their voice, reflect with intention, and protect their legacy. By accessing or using the Olive app, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Olive, a support platform designed to help people preserve their voice, reflect with intention, and protect their legacy. By accessing or using the Olive app, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Who Can Use Olive

Adults age 18 or older may establish and operate their own Olive accounts, subject to these Terms.

Olive also supports a continuous identity and Vault across these maturity stages:

• Child (birth–12): An authenticated eligible Adult may establish and administer a Child identity and Vault after affirming that they are the Child's parent or legal guardian with authority and accepting these Terms and the guardian provisions below. Before age 13, the Child does not independently log in, submit personal information or content, establish connections, or exercise account authority. A Child may still receive validly entrusted matter and experience already-delivered matter with authorized assistance.
• Teen (13–17): The same identity and Vault mature into the Teen stage. Teen operation is subject to secure activation, applicable law, age assurance, required consent mechanisms, and Teen privacy and safety protections. Ordinary Child-stage guardian administration sunsets by default at age 13 unless verified controlling legal authority requires otherwise.
• Adult (18+): The same identity and Vault mature into the Adult stage. Prior guardian authority does not revive because the person has not activated access.

Exact jurisdiction-specific eligibility, consent, and age-assurance requirements are governed by applicable law. Features may remain unavailable where Olive cannot safely establish the required authority or consent.

All people using or administering Olive must use it lawfully and must not impersonate another person or misrepresent authority.

Guardian authority

An Adult establishing or administering a Child identity must affirm their own eligibility and parent or legal-guardian authority. Guardian administration facilitates the Child's account and already-delivered experience; it does not transfer ownership of the Child's identity, Vault, Entrusted Originals, or recipient status. A family or relationship label alone grants no administrative authority, Vault access, or visibility into future-undelivered matter.

3. Account Information

To use Olive, you may be asked to provide:

• Your first name (used to personalize your experience).
• Your email address or other approved authentication information when you independently operate Olive.
• Authoritative date of birth or minimized age-assurance information where required to determine maturity stage and eligibility.
• Guardian attestation and acceptance records when an Adult establishes or administers a Child identity.
• A secure PIN (optional, to protect your Vault).

You are responsible for keeping this information accurate and secure.

4. Your Data & Privacy

We respect your privacy. We process content and account information only for authorized Olive functions, lawful operations, and the stewardship obligations described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We do not sell personal information.

We use:

• Supabase to manage authentication and store your data.
• Local device storage for app session continuity.
• Olive V1 has no active payment processor or self-service purchase path. Any future additional-storage offering requires separate approval and updated terms.

5. AI-Generated Support

Olive's AI companion (O.C.) provides emotionally intelligent suggestions, prompts, and responses. This AI is not a licensed professional. Olive does not offer legal, medical, or psychiatric advice.

6. Content, Entrustment & Continuity

Ordinary drafts and personal content remain under the creator's control unless a separate entrustment, delivery, transfer, shared right, legal requirement, or stewardship obligation applies. Entrusted Originals, directives, provenance, delivery history, and valid recipient-held matter follow Olive's governing Vault architecture and cannot be rewritten or destroyed merely by closing an account or changing a relationship.

Delivery and opening are separate factual events. Guardian or facilitator access to already-delivered matter does not make that person the entrustor, recipient, or owner and does not grant future-undelivered visibility.

A person's identity and Vault remain continuous as that person matures from Child to Teen to Adult. Maturation changes age-dependent access and authority; it does not recreate the identity or Vault or alter entrusted history.

7. Prohibited Use

Do not:

• Use Olive to harass or harm others.
• Impersonate another person.
• Upload illegal or harmful content.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, duplicate, or resell Olive's experience.

8. Participation, Withdrawal & Deletion

An Administrative Guardian may withdraw a Child from active participation without deleting the Child's identity or Vault. A Teen may withdraw from active participation. Only an Adult may initiate permanent deletion of their own Olive identity or account.

Deletion requests are subject to a recoverable pending-deletion period and to the rights and obligations attached to entrusted matter, recipient-held matter, shared records, provenance, delivery history, security, lawful compliance, and minimum truthful historical attribution. Deletion does not authorize alteration of an Entrusted Original or destruction of another person's legitimate surviving record.

We may suspend access that violates these Terms while preserving unaffected stewardship obligations and protected matter.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If major changes occur, we will notify you via the app or your registered email.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with these laws.
